Today Toastmasters was founded August 1, 1989 in Austin, Texas at The Church of Today, hence our name Today Toastmasters. Over our 34 year history, we have nurtured hundreds of people from being terrified of public speaking to competent, confident advanced public speakers.

Many of our members have been active for decades; an equal number are neophytes.
All are interested in making new friends and mentoring beginners.
